On behalf of the city council of Graz, the capital of the province of Styria, GBG has built the new campus building of the Joanneum University of Applied Sciences, including an underground car park and an aviation lab, in only 16 months. The new campus building integrates an auditorium maximum, a library, a canteen, lecture halls and offices. The library, the canteen and the outdoor facilities, which have been funded by the EU through Urban_GrazWest, are also open to the public.
Fachhochschule Campusgebäude
Since its foundation, the University of Applied Sciences Centre has been a special kind of “motor” for the western part of Graz. This positive influence on the development of this part of the city is meant to be reinforced by the construction of the new campus building. The formerly mono-functional industrial belt should become a modern location for innovative technology companies as well as important educational institutions.
Courses of study
The following courses of study are housed in the new campus building: "InfoMed/Health Care Engineering", “International Management”, “Production Technology and Organisation” as well as “Social Work”. The new campus building also houses: the postgraduate course “Tele-Medicine” and the “Centre for Multimedia Learning”.
